When It’s Time To Replace My Windows

Windows increase energy efficiency, protect the home from the weather, give light and ventilation, and enhance both the interior and exterior looks. However, windows are sometimes one of the most neglected aspects of a property.

People pay little attention to them unless something goes wrong. And as windows age, a variety of issues may necessitate window replacement.
If you observe any of the following problems with your current windows, it is strongly recommended that you invest in replacements. This would not only help you in improving your home’s appearance, but it will also drastically reduce your energy costs and save you money.

Window Replacement in Marietta, GA

One of the biggest benefits of replacing old windows in your home is that you will increase its energy efficiency. Because for every new energy-efficient window, your home’s insulation will improve. And the stronger your home’s insulation, the less energy is needed to manage the temperature inside. This, of course, implies that your HVAC system doesn’t even have to work as hard to maintain your desired temperature.

And when it’s not working as hard, you naturally use less energy, which is a huge money saver. If you replace all of your old windows with modern, energy-efficient ones, you’ll instantly observe a reduction in your electric bill. Also, the money saved can be used to pay for window replacement over time or to execute energy-efficient repairs, such as installing new doors.

Why You Should Replace Your Windows

Replacement of old windows should be a priority for everyone who wants to raise the value of their home because it is one of the most significant investments they will ever make. This smart investment will safeguard your family and possessions, lower your energy bills, allow you to appreciate the natural beauty around your home, and significantly improve your health and happiness.

Energy Efficiency

When considering why windows are installed in homes, the first thing to consider is that they play a significant role in determining the efficiency of your home. This will have a significant impact on the quality of the air in your house, especially in the winter.

The sun’s rays not only provide light but also provide heat and windows allow you to tap into this energy source and harness it to raise the temperature of your home without spending extra money on your energy bills.

Aesthetics

When it comes to boosting your home’s curb appeal, replacement windows are one of the best investments you can make. When you look at a house, your eyes are naturally pulled to the windows.

Modern windows will significantly improve your home’s exterior appeal and property value. If you’re upgrading your property in preparation to sell, new windows will significantly increase its market value.

Why Choose Our Windows

Low-E Glass

Low-E glass windows are designed to reflect heat away from the glass surface, regardless of where the heat is coming from. The glass is coated with two to three layers of tiny silver particles. The heat is reflected by these silver particles in the same way that aluminum foil does. When it’s hot outside, the heat reflects away. When it’s cold outside, heat from within the house reflects off the glass and back into the room.

Argon Gas

In the case of double-pane windows, the pumped air functions as an additional insulation layer. This improves the energy efficiency of a window, but it also has the additional benefit of significantly reducing external noise.

Slim But Strong Frames

Our windows provide the most glass area possible without sacrificing strength or durability. The “SlimLine” design of our windows provides you with 12 to 16 % more glass area than the majority of other windows on the market. Our windows are designed to let light in and allow you to have the widest viewing area possible.

Standard Features Of Our Windows

  • Our windows are 100% pure virgin vinyl. Pure virgin vinyl is the strongest and most durable material available.
  • 3-1/4″ Heavy Duty Frames
  • All of our windows come with fully fusion-welded frames and sashes. The creation of fusion-welded material involves heating two things and joining them when the material melts. This joint is tough, if not impossible, to separate once it has been cured. This produces a watertight and airtight seal.
  • Dual Weather-Stripping. By redirecting water, weather stripping prevents rain and moisture from entering a structure through window openings. It also retains internal air for comfort and to conserve energy on heating and air conditioning.
  • 3/4″ Double Pane/Insulated Glass
  • Upper Sash Vent Stops. The upper sash is fitted with sash stops, which prevents the sashes from slipping over each other. Therefore, they are prevented from opening the window.
  • Full Interlocking Rails. Windows are equipped with an interlock system where the sash frames connect along with their interface and pull securely together to reduce air leakage. This is a common characteristic of window designs of superior quality.
  • Core Composite Reinforcement
  • Constant Force Balances. This mechanism helps window windows to open and close without problems.
  • Sloped sill that allows windows to remove dirt and debris whenever it rains.

Weatherization

Energy efficiency may provide other benefits in addition to cost savings. Simple energy efficiency improvements, such as weatherization, will provide additional health benefits.

Weatherization is the act of shielding the interior of a home from exterior elements such as sun, rain, and wind in order to minimize energy consumption, boost efficiency, and save up to 20% on yearly energy expenses!

Weatherizing your home will help you save money by lowering your energy usage and boosting your home’s comfort. Weatherization is critical for reducing both the quantity of energy consumed in your house and the amount of money spent on monthly utility bills. Our mission is to educate our customers on how their houses consume energy and how they can cut back on unneeded consumption and save money on their monthly utility bills.

Marietta, GA

Marietta is a city in Cobb County, Georgia, and serves as the county seat. The city had a population of 56,579 residents as of the 2010 census. With a population of 60,867 in 2019, it is one of Atlanta’s largest suburbs. Marietta is the fourth largest city in the Atlanta metropolitan area in terms of population.

Before 1824, early settlers constructed homes near the Cherokee settlement of Big Shanty (now Kennesaw). In 1833, the first plot was set out. Marietta, like the majority of towns, featured a central square with a courthouse. On December 19, 1834, the Georgia General Assembly formally established the community.  Oakton House, built in 1838, is Marietta’s oldest continually occupied dwelling. On the site, the old barn, milk house, smokehouse, and well house remain. The gardens feature an 1870s boxwood parterre. Major General Loring’s headquarters were located at Oakton during the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain in 1864.

Things To Do in Marietta, GA

While the state capital is only 20 miles to the southeast, Marietta is itself rich in history and culture, particularly from the state’s antebellum and Civil War eras. Marietta flourished rapidly from an 1830s main square and courthouse, despite the fact that the Western and Atlantic Railroad’s major core was relocated to nearby Atlanta. Six historic districts, filled with ancient buildings and an impressive array of museums, have survived many fires and the trauma of the war, while Kennesaw Mountain is also nearby.

Ghosts of Marietta Tour

While seeing the city’s most historic streets and burial grounds, your guide will explain the stories of several of the city’s ghosts, ranging from Civil War warriors to nineteenth-century citizens.

These tours, which take place after dark, are atmospheric, and are either conducted by lantern on foot or onboard an antique trolley bus, which can take in even more of this old city.

Even if you don’t believe in paranormal activity, these excursions are a great way to get a taste of what Marietta has to offer.

Marietta Museum of History

The structure that houses the Marietta Museum of History, also known as Kennesaw House, was constructed of red brick in 1845 as a cotton warehouse. The museum’s upper two levels are devoted to a diverse and expansive collection that spans a broad range of topics from the city’s first two centuries.

While the Civil War era is heavily portrayed, there are other exhibits on the lives of the region’s native Americans prior to their forced removal from their original lands and on Georgia’s gold rush. The museum’s exhibits include a rare Cherokee-language bible and militaria from the Civil War through more contemporary conflicts.

Marietta Museum of Art

The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art, which opened in the 1990s, is situated in a stately Greek Revival style structure with a lofty portico of columns that served as the city’s principal post office.

Its gallery room, which was used for the courthouse scenes in the 2014 film Selma, offers a warm and homey atmosphere.

The museum is the only one in the greater Atlanta region that focuses only on American artworks, having a permanent collection that spans the eighteenth century through contemporary paintings and sculpture.
